A young woman (Marian Marsh) works sewing gowns at an up market dress shop. When her sister (Anita Page) is hit by her husband she wants a divorce, so she has to come up with a way of getting money for the divorce so she meets a wealthy man (Warren William) who visits the shop. This is a gritty pre-code drama of life in the depression. Marian Marsh is good as the woman geting cynical about marriage, who wants to support her family and find the money to live on.
