The captain of a sailing boat (John Mills) and his tom-boy daughter (Hayley Mills) sail the Carribean looking for sunken treasure. They meet up with a rich young lawyer (James MacArthur) and together the go looking for treasure with help and hinderance from other treasure seekers (including Lionel Jeffries). Whilst they struggle to find treasure they do find love. Hayley Mills is good in one of her tom-boy roles, but the characters of both John Mills and James macArthur are quite insipid, however Lionel Jeffries has fun with his character. This is one of four films that Hayley and John Mills starred in together
