During the final rehearsals for a musical show, the lead (Frances Day) is persuaded to pull out to try and scupper the show. The director then has to find a new theatre to put on the show, but the only one available was closed down after a murder was committed in the theatre. This is an entertaining mix of musical and murder mystery, that is helped by the performance of Patricia Dainton as the replacement star of the show.
