In the lead up to Christmas a teacher in a small town who enjoys all the trappings of Christmas swaps homes with a novelist and academic in Boston who wants nothing to do with Christmas. They both have emotional and relationship baggage that comes out as their families disrupt their plans for Christmas, but they also find love. This is a made for television version of the house swap plot, but there are better versions of the plot (Holiday 2006)
