A woman (Carole Landis) and her friend (Joan Blondell) visit her family home for the first time to meet her father. They end up swapping bedrooms and her friend is murdered. As a ghost she teams up with Topper (Roland Young) to find her killer. This is a fun murder mystery set in a country house complete with secret passages and bumbling policemen (Donald MacBride). Jooan Blondell is good as the ghost, whilst Carole Landis brings calm elegance and Billie Burke has fun as Topper's slightly excentric wife. This is an entertaining follow-up to the earlier Topper film and the coloured version is surprisingly good.
