A man (Jack Watling) and his mistress are both poisoned, but she dies and he is the the main suspect but his estranged fiance (Rona Anderson) investigates and uncovers blackmail. The plot is messy in palces with various loose ends as it has multiple threads. This British thriller is a bit of a mixed bag but there are some good performances from some of the supporting cast.
