Two people in 1780 are killed as traitors and return as ghosts, but in the 20th century they get the chance to prove their innocence. Lou Costello and Marjorie Reynolds are the two ghosts trying to prove their innocence but need to fin a ocument hidden in the house and needd the new residents to find it. This film is unusual the Abbott and Costello series of films in that the two are not paired together and so do not really play off each other. Whilst Bud and Lou play some of their typical roles it is Marjorie Reynolds that dominates all the scenes she is in with good support from Binnie Barnes and Gale Sondergaard.
