Several years after his death in the war a woman (Muriel Pavlow) gets letter from her dead husband. Before he died to told some soldiers that he knew where a great treasure was hidden. The group are hiding in a London cellar and when their leader escapes from prison, things take on a more sinister turnWhilst in some was the plot is silly in places, it does work as an effective story. The production is suitably atmospheric in the London fog and Tony Wright gives a good performance as the cruel gang leader. There is good support from Muriel Pavlow as the widow and Donald Sinden as her new fiance.
