A man is having an affair with his wife's divorced sister and get her pregnant. When his wife refuses a divorce he and his mistress plot to kill his wife. The two of them construct an elaborate plot to kill the wife but when she overhears their plan, she decides to turn tables on them. This is a very well constructed British thriller with some good twists as all the alibi's play out, even if not as originally planned. Montgomery Tully directs it with good pace and interest. The best performance is from Patricia Dainton as the betrayed wife and sister.
