A divorced woman (Merle Oberon) marries an archeologist (George Brent) in Egypt but then starts an affair with a charming but broke blackmailer (Charles Korvin). Merle Oberon offers to recover some love letter for a young woman from CHarles Korvin, but she then gets involved with him and he then uses her to try and get her husbands money to pay off his debts which leads to murder. This is a solid rahter than an exciting drama. Merle Oberon is fine in the lead and sports a wonderfull selection of classy dresses through the film.
