A cowboy returns to the town where years earlier he was whipped by the father of the woman he loved and is now bent on revenge. Randolph Scott is caught between two women (Dorothy Malone and Peggie Scott) who are torn between loving him and hating him whilst fighting off various people who want to kill him.
