A director of silent films puts all his money into the production of a big musical however things do not go as planned. This early sound film is not great, but features Nat Carr as the stereotypical film producer and Fay Marbe with a dreadful French accent. It has not aged well as many jokes are politically incorrect by today's standards and the the acting stilted as the actors and production struggle to work with sound. It is perhaps most notable for being directed by Mark Sandrich who went on to direct 5 Astaire and Rogers musicals.
