Roger Corman directs this montage of three Edgar Allan Poe stories. A daughter returns to the family home where her father blames her for his wife's death with tragic consequences. A drunk challenges a man to a wine tasting competition only to find he starts an affair with his wife. A man is hypnotised at the point of death to find out what happens. Peter Lorre is good as the jealous drunk in the second part and Debra Paget brings style and class to the third part.
