Liam Neeson is an ex-CIA spy who is estranged from his wife (Famke Janssen) and daughter (Maggie Grace). They persuade him to let her and her friend (Katie Cassidy) to go on holiday to Paris. When they are kidnapped by a gang of human traffickers he goes to France to hunt down the kidnappers and rescue his daughter. The scenes of the trafficked girls are disturbing, but the rest of the film is a violent one man vigilante crusade
