A group of disparate passengers travel across America on a futuristic high speed monrail train. This includes a theatrical producer (Victor Jory) trying to get his leading lady (Evelyn Venable) back to perform instead of running away to marry and a woman (Mary O'Brian-Moore) trying to stop her husband running away with another woman (Esther Ralston). The plot is not great and most of the film is shot inside the train which is more like a small art decco hotel than a train. It is meant to be futureistic but is not realistic as a train. The best performances are from Evelyn Venable as the actress and Esther Ralston as the woman having an affair as part of one of the minor plots. the plot has similarities to Twentieth Century made the year before by Howard Hawks.
