Comment
An alien from Venus (Helmut Dantine) arrives on earth in the English countryside and causes a woman (Patricia Neal) to crash her car and then he heals her near fatal wounds. He strikes up a friendship with her, but his mission is to persuade the world to give up nuclear weapons, but the leaders of the world have other ideas. The plot is a reworking of he 1951 film The Day The Earth Stood Still, but on a much lower budget. This is more cerebral with less effects and both films star Patricia Neal.
