A woman (Katherine Ross) moves with her family from New York to the suburb of Stepford, only to find the women there are only interested in serving their husbands and cleaning their houses. She becomes increasingly disturbed as her two friends change, so she tries to find out what is happening. The Mens Club seems to be behind the women becoming robots. The film is based on the novel by Ira Levin.
