An Englishman (Warner Baxter) takes the blame for another man stealing from an orphan fund, escapes to the mid west of America where he has an affair with a native American woman (Lupe Velez) despite being in love with a married woman in England. This is Cecil B DeMille's sound remake of of his earlier silent 1914 version of the story. The plot has its problems as it cuts between stiff upper lip British aristocracy and a ranch in the American west. Lupe Velez gives the most convincing performance and there is a solid performance from Warner Baxter.
