A gentleman thief (Guy Rolfe) is chased by a policeman (Eric Portman) in Paris in the lead up to World War 2. The policeman is in love with a woman (Nadia Gray), who is in love with the thief. The policeman finally sends the thief to jail but then during the war he uses him to recover secret papers from Switzerland.
