An ex police man plants a bomb in a lift and demands a ransom. When he is thwarted, he then plants a bomb on a bus that will explode once the bus slows to less than 50 mph. The plot is bizarre, but it is a fast action film that keeps you interested. The film is carried by the performances of Sandra Bullock as the person who takes over driving the bus and Keanu Reeves as the policeman on the bus trying to help. It also has a good supporting performance from Dennis Hooper as the villan of the film.
