Bob Hope arrives in a small western town to collect his inheritance, only the box he is left is empty. He meets Jane Russell who is the singer in the saloon and also the leader of a gang of thieves. Roy Rogers is the federal agent sent to capture the the gang leader who initially realising it is Jane Russell. This is a wonderfully entertaining piece of nonsense that is a mixture of action, slapstick, one line jokes and musical numbers, which is helped by the fact that none of Bob Hope, Jane Russell or Roy Rogers take themselves seriously and appear to be enjoying themselves.
