Just after world war 2 a an English spy is sent to an Alpine lodge where a disparate group are looking for a stash of gold that was hidden by the Nazi's just before the end of the war. The first three quarters of the film is quite slow and wordy though with a couple of good skiing sequences, but does liven up in the last quarter.
