A man invites his wife lover to his house and persuades him to steal some jewellry. There then follows a deadly game of psychological cat and mouse. An excellent film given that it is essentially two men talking all the way through. A good translation of the stage play to the screen for this thriller that earned Oscar nominations for the two leads. The screenplay was written by Anthony Schaffer.
