A collector aquires a skull that is reputedly to be that of the Maquis de Sade, however he soon realises that the skull is imbued with evil and turns those who possess it into killers. The plot is more psychological, than blood and gore, though the effects are dated and the ending is quite weak. The film is based on the novel by Robert Bloch.
