When the mill where she works is closed down, one of the workers moves to Blackpool to find work, and also finds friendship and adventure. This is a 1930's British feel good film that is a showcase for the talents, particularly the singing ability of Gracie Field. Whilst this is not a classic film, it does show why Gracie Fields was such a big star at the time and also has some good shots of the attractions of Blackpool. Based on a story by J B Priestly.
