When the King dies Shrek goes in search of the heir to throne, meanwhile Prince Charming plots a coup to take over the throne that Princess Fiona has to stop. Whilst the animation continues the high standard of the previous films, this one lacks the plot and humour of the earlier films and hence is disappointing in comparison.
