Following General Custer's defeat the US cavalry is under pressure from the native Indians. John Wayne is coming up to retirement but has lead his trooops into another battle, including a woman who is being chased by two of the soldiers. John Wayne has great presence on screen and John Ford delivers sweeping battle scenes in Technicolor.
