At the end of the civl war, four brothers from the south get into a fight with some soldiers from the north and they kill one of the soldiers. They escape on the Santa Fe railway, where one starts working on building the railway whilst the other three become outlaws. This is a standard Randolph Scott western fighting not only people trying to stop the railway, but also his brothers whilst developing a love interest.
