Tim Allen is going through a break up with his wife Wendy Crewson who is going out with psychiatrist Judge Reinhold. His son Eric Lloyd stays with him on Christmas eve, but Santa falls of Tim Allen's roof, dies and TIm Allen puts on the outfit and becomes the new Santa Clause. However the only person who believes that Tim Allen is Santa is his son as even he does not. An entertaining comedy on the Santa theme with a good performance from Tim Allen.
