A reporter (Jake Johnson) and two interns from a magazine (Mary Lynn Rajskub)are sent to investigate a man (Mark Duplass) who has put an advert in the paper asking for an assistant to travel back in time with him. The reporter is more interested in meeting up with an ex-girlfriend (Jenica Bergere) however one of the interns (Aubrey Plaza) gains his confidence and she becomes less sure that the man is mad and starts to wonder if he really does have a time machine despite the inconsistencies in his story. There is a suitably dead pan performance from Aubrey Plaza a couple of cameos from Kristen Bell and Jenica Bergere.
