This is a musical fantasy recounting the early life and rise to fame of Elton John including his fall into drugs and alcohol. It is a creative telling of part of Elton John's life, relationships and music. Taron Egerton gives a good interpretation of Elton John with Jamies as the lyricist Bernie Taupin. There is also good support from Dallas Bruce Howard as his mother and Gemma Jones as his grandmother.
