An insurance investigator (Charles McGraw) meets a woman (Joan Dixon) with expensive tastes and gets in volved with a gang of theives (Lowell Gilmore) to get money to impress her. This is a variation of the film noir style with Joan Dixon as the femme fatale character who changes from money grabbing to being in love. It was also one of the first films to be filmed using the Los Angeles river.
