A group of scientists are picked and trained to travel into space to callect a meteor to develop a material to proctect men during longer space flight. This is a low budget sci-fi film and what sets it apart from similar films of the period is that over half the film is taken up with the preparation and training of the men, especially considering it was made before the first satelite was sent into space. The effcets when they finally get into space are not great.
