A homesteader (William Holden) who has recently lost his wife buys a bonds woman (Loretta Young) to be his new wife, but he uses her just to cook and clean and not as a wife, that is unitl his charming friend (Robert Mithcum) arrives and disrupts the household. This is a run of the mill romantic western.
