A woman (Jane Hylton) takes over a pub and finds it is being used by a smuggler to store contraband. She tells him to remove it, but gradually falls for him. Meanwhile a policeman arrives with his jealous girlfriend (Dianne Foster). Jane Hylton gives a quietly brooding but strong performance. The plot steps up in the final third as her husband appears having escaped from prison. This British B picture is helped by the performances from Jane Hylton, Dianne Foster and Dora Bryan.
