An actor (Bob Hope) who has a one man show and a princess (Virginia Mayo) in hinding are taking passage on a ship that is attacked by pirates. They are helped to escape by a sailor who is after the captain's hiden treasure. The plot is nonsense, but it is the sort of film you watch for a the jokes in the script and Bob Hope and Virginia Mayo playing the comedy off against each other.
