Comment/Synopsis

Entertaining romantic comedy of a rich and successfull business man who meets a prostitute and then falls in love with her. Richard Gere and Julia Roberts give good performances, particularly the title sequence and the shopping sequence to the sound track of Pretty Woman. There is good support from Hector Elizondo and Laura San Giacomo. This is essentially a modern reworking of Cinderella set in the late 1980's USA.
