Comment/Synopsis

In 1770 a woman has a portrait painted and then in a jealous rage spurns her lover who goes off and gets killed in battle. In 1912 history repeats itself as one of her ancestors also spurns her lover, only this time the lady comes out of the portrait to bring them back together. There are some great period costumes and a good performance from Florence La Badie as she plays both roles. There is some creative photography especially as she comes out of the portrait.
