A woman goes to Antarctica to after her father calls to say he is in trouble. She breaks all the rules to get there by sneaking on board a ship and befriending an engineer with a research team. This is a weak romance set against helping a penguin stranded on an ice flow. The problem is, it is based on on the idea of of breaching all the safety precuations aimed at not contaminating Antarctica.
