A military pilot (Emily Killian) who is more concerned about people than orders is demoted and sent on a mission to rescue the crew of a ship on a desert planet where they encounter carnivorous giant earthworms. This is not James Herbert's Dune, but more Tremors moved to a Sci-Fi setting but without the script of the first and acting of the second. Emily Killian is not entirely convincing as the maverick pilot but that is partly the script and the direction. Sean Young is top billed but has a relatively small part. .
