During World War 2 the daughter of an oil sales company goes out into the field to make sales. She needs somewhere to sleep but all that is available is a bungalow for married army personal, so she persuades a lieutenant to pretend to be her husband to get the room. The inevitable comic consequnces occur as she tries to make a sale, he tries to not get court marshalled and romance get its convoluted path. The film is based on a stage play and has something of the feel of a farce. The only good thing in the film is the performance of Ida Lupino giving an engagin comic performance. Sydney Greenstreet seems miscast and William Prince is slightly bland opposite Ida Lupino.
