A group of school girls and their teachers in 1900 go on a picnic and several of htem disappear without trace. THe film is a psychological thriller of the disappearance of the group of girls in Australia. This is a haunting film that poses more questions than it answers and is well filmed by director peter Weir. The film is based on the novel by Joan Lindsay.
