Ben Affleck is a scientist agrees to work for an organisation for three years and then have his memory erased. At the end of three years, when he tries to collect his paycheck, he finds that he has signed it away. All he has is a seemigly random selection of items that he sent hinself during the three years. His paymasters want him out of the way, so he fights back with the help of a girl (Uma Thurman) he met during the three years years.
