A young Viking boy is left behind by Viking raiders, is taken in by a native clan and then seeks revenge when more Viking raiders arrive. The story is based on the earlier Norwegian film of the Sami legend and it won the Best Foreign Film Oscar. Whilst the battle scenes are impressively filmed there is no real charcter depth and the dialogue and acting are not the best.
