Comment
After a second world war bomb explodes, a document is found that declares a square in Pimlico in London is actually part of Burgundy. The residents then declare independence. A wonderful comedy of the small people against the state set against a background of post war rationing and austerity.
One of the series Ealing comedies that sets up the social realismof the bombed out background of London against this fancifal idealism of a new order.
