Comment/Synopsis

The Flying Dutchman from history arrives at a port in Spain in the 1930's where he meets a woman who may be able to release him from his punishment of sailing alone, but she is self centered and manipulative of men. This is a different take on the Flying Dutchman story with a bull fight and an attempt at the land speed record. There are good performances from James Mason and Ava Gardner.
