Comment/Synopsis

Of Three women who work in a department store, two (Anita Page and Dorothy Sebastian) chase after wealthy men and one (Joan Crawford) is more cynical. In this pre-code film the women chase men of dubious morals and end up suffering the consequences and it covers adultery and suicide. Joan Crawford gives a good performance showing off her acting in a slection of gowns and langerie. It does drag in places including a full fashion show and the ending seems abrupt and forced, however it is still an entertaining film and worth seeing for early an Joan Crawford performance.
