Cary Grant operates some planes flying mail over jungle passes in South America. The problems start when Jean Arthur arrives on a boat and then his ex-girl friend (Rita Hayworth) arrives to complicate things further. This is a good film with plenty of atmosphere and good acting highlighting the strained relationships. This was Rita Hayworth's first major film. Lucas and Speilberg have said this was a precursor to the Indiana Jones films with its action figure and sequences. This is one of director Howard Hawks best flying films and in some ways reflects his own life story as an aviator.
