Comment/Synopsis

Three vaudeville stars realise that their work has been replaced by talking pictures. They head out to Hollywood to run an elocution school for silent actors moving in to talking pictures. The least bright of the three tells the studio boss some home truths and gets put in charge of the next film which is badly made as well as the wrong film but becomes a big hit. This is based on a stage play and hence is very static and wordy, but is a good comic swipe on the absurdity and excess of 1930's Hollywood.
