A woman (Claudia Cardinale) inherits land that a ruthless railroad baron wants but he also has enemies that want to protect her. This is Sergio Leone's long epic of the railways coming into the frontier lands. Henry Fonda is good as the enforcer and Charles Bronson as the stranger with the harmonica on a mission for revenge. Parts are very slow moving and parts are violent. It has Sergio Leone's trademark close up's of faces that are held for a long time, the slow build up to the shoot outs and the haunting music from Ennio Morricone.
